The site was originally reclaimed from the sea and used for landfill in the 1980s and is currently occupied as a car park. However once the development is complete it will boast six Grade ‘A’ commercial office buildings totalling 500,000ft2 of net internal space, major public realm improvements and a subterranean 520 space public multi- storey car park.

The Jersey International Finance Centre will be bounded by Castle Street, the Esplanade and La Route De La Liberation, with the historic sea wall to the north of the site along the Esplanade. The sea wall will be retained in the new development and in places exposed and incorporated into the landscaping and public realm improvements, providing a link to the history of the site.

All of the buildings will be designed to very high environmental standards and are targeting a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’.
