Our sustainability design approach follows the principal rules of “Reduce, Recycle, Reuse” with an emphasis placed on reducing the embodied energy of the building and its use of energy in operation.

These studies improve the sustainable performance of a building but they need to be coupled with a strategy to demonstrate this performance both to the sustainability assessment bodies (e.g. BREEAM) and the building’s potential occupiers.

Common techniques include designing buildings suited to off-site manufacturing techniques; designing buildings which can adapt to suit evolving occupier needs; re-engineering existing buildings; re-using existing foundations and maximising the recycled content within a building.
