This project involved the design of a new 90-bed aged care facility constructed on the St George’s Hospital site in Victoria.
The facility design is based around a trio of separate three-level pavilions interconnected with glazed walkway links at each level. The pavilions are constructed over a single basement with a two-level below ground carpark with dedicated commercial kitchen and laundry amenities.
Waterman undertook the full design and documentation of this new multi-level aged care facility’s mechanical and electrical systems. The highly sustainable scheme incorporates numerous ESD initiatives including a heat reclaim system, PV elect solar panel, rainwater harvesting and high efficiency chillers and boilers.
