Edenica achieves world-class WiredScore Platinum rating

Published 30th May 2023

We are delighted to celebrate that the circular economy-focused commercial scheme, Edenica, at 100 Fetter Lane has achieved a WiredScore Platinum rating for its outstanding digital connectivity.

WiredScore is the world’s only internationally recognised digital connectivity rating scheme, championing the modern-day necessity for cutting-edge technology in real estate. A Platinum rating represents the highest achievement for a commercial building’s digital infrastructure, demonstrating an outstanding commitment in this area.

Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, BauMont Real Estate Capital’s and YardNine’s 94,000 sq ft Edenica office development is harnessing the latest design techniques to offer exceptional building user experience, whilst optimising operational energy efficiency and slashing embodied carbon. As part of this, Waterman’s Sustainability team is piloting the use of Materials Passports which are circular economy-boosting digital data sets that record the key characteristics of materials and components in products and systems. These extend material lifespans, increasing the opportunities for their recovery and future reuse.

Achieving WiredScore Platinum is the latest in a range of prestigious accolades for the Edenica scheme, which recently scooped ‘Best Net Zero Project of the Year’ at the Consultancy and Engineering Awards for the Material Passports innovation. The implementation of Materials Passports at this development is setting a new industry benchmark for circularity, and we’re delighted to see Anastasia Stella, the driving force behind the initiative, being named a finalist in the ‘Best Digital Innovation’ category at the upcoming European Women in Construction & Engineering Awards.

Mark Terndrup, Waterman’s Managing Director for Building Services South, said: “I’m thrilled to see Edenica achieving the highest WiredScore certification. This is a huge success for the project team and a testament to our focus on digital infrastructure, sustainability and the integration of user-facing technology. This latest achievement is another important milestone that reinforces why Edenica is setting a new standard for London commercial property.”

YardNine’s Co-founder, Maxwell Shand, said: “Seamless digital infrastructure is a critical factor for occupiers and Edenica’s WiredScore Platinum gives the confidence that we have delivered a futureproofed workspace that supports their business activities.”

BauMont Real Estate Capital’s Director, Damien Pasini, said: “Achieving WiredScore Platinum demonstrates that Edenica is fully connected with a resilient digital infrastructure. This creates a pathway for effective integrated sustainability strategies throughout the building which is at the heart of our design ethos.”

Tom McClellan, Country Director, UK & Ireland and Growth Markets, WiredScore, added: “In achieving WiredScore Platinum, BauMont Real Estate Capital and YardNine have demonstrated excellence across the board when it comes to the provision of digital infrastructure in their scheme. We are confident that, by recognising the value of a seamlessly connected environment, occupiers of Edenica will reap the benefits of a space that is optimised for collaboration and productivity.”
