Elekta’s Cornerstone facility in Crawley’s Manor Royal Business District provides 131,000 sq ft of Grade A office space. The scheme integrates with Elekta’s existing UK headquarters on the five-acre site, combining both its state-of-the-art research and development team and its global product support and administration functions into the new premises.
The development incorporates the latest in architectural and environmental design and is formed with three styled angles spread across four storeys with extensive landscaping. In addition to break-out, meeting areas and a cafeteria, the modern facilities allow Elekta to host local and international medical business events.
Our building services team provided the Employer’s Requirements design and specification for the development’s shell and core, category A and category B fit-out.
The scheme’s design emphasises sustainability, including the latest energy efficient air source heat pump technology, with an internationally-recognised BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating and was shortlisted for ‘Best Corporate Office’ at the 2019 BCO awards.
