Waterman appoints new head of heritage

Sally brings over 25 years’ experience in advising a wide range of clients on the archaeological and built heritage issues on new residential, infrastructure, industrial, and recreational developments. She returns to Waterman after 15 years with WSP and Mouchel, where she helped develop and grow UK-wide heritage teams.

Over the course of her career, Sally has gained a deep understanding of all aspects of heritage consultancy, from initial feasibility and option studies, archaeological risk assessments and written schemes of investigation, through to the design, implementation and management of archaeological fieldwork. Her extensive portfolio includes the management of archaeology and heritage issues on large infrastructure schemes such as the A5 Western Transport Corridor in Northern Ireland and the Grantham Southern Quadrant Link Road in Lincolnshire.

Sally has liaised extensively with national consultees such as Historic England, Historic Environment Scotland, Cadw and HED Northern Ireland, alongside archaeological advisors within Local Authorities. She has also acted as Expert Witness for heritage issues and is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and the Registered Post Holder for Waterman.
