Solar Power – West Yorkshire Combined Authority

Published 5th July 2024

This ambitious scheme involved our specialists supporting the delivery of widespread solar energy for domestic homes at pace and scale. Working with social housing partners, energy providers and solar power specialists, West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) invested in the installation of solar panels and renewable electricity generation across thousands of homes, reducing their carbon emissions. Our team helped develop the business case for the scheme, seeing us provide specific analysis of costs and benefits related to energy, carbon and economic impacts. The project is hugely beneficial for all parties, delivering savings and revenue for residents, homeowners and energy providers alike. Through this scheme, WYCA accelerated decarbonisation in the region, whilst contributing to meeting their Net Zero obligations.
