We have a track record of delivering high quality, sustainable projects, all underpinned by ‘Cyber Essential Plus’ accreditation and a team of security cleared staff.

We take a holistic approach to designing sustainable, low-carbon solutions, considering the project’s whole-life carbon cycle, circular economy, climate resilience and operational carbon emissions. Maintaining and improving biodiversity also feature as an important component to scheme design.

Waterman’s sustainability team works alongside our engineers to guide the design process and set the roadmap for achieving project sustainability goals, certifications and targets to meet the DREAM requirements and JSP 850. Our ever-growing defence sector experience also includes involvement on the Future Soldier projects at Aldershot, Warminster and Tidworth.

Project Allenby/Connaught (PAC)

Commencing in 2006, the Project Allenby/ Connaught (PAC) scheme set out to modernise the Army’s existing estate and provide fit-for-purpose accommodation, ultimately ensuring soldiers live and work within a best-in-class environment.

BAE Govan Wet Dock Hall

Measuring 170m long and 80m wide, BAE’s vast new Glasgow Wet Dock Hall facility on the banks of the River Clyde will be large enough for two Type 26 frigates to be constructed simultaneously, with extensive provision of both gantry cranes and runway cranes.

Army Basing Programme (ABP)

Following the successful delivery of the Project Allenby/ Connaught (PAC) scheme, our services were retained by Aspire Defence Capital Works (ADCW) for the Army Basing Programme (ABP).

Aspire Defence

Waterman’s engineers have spent the last fifteen years painstakingly designing and delivering hundreds of projects for the Ministry of Defence (MOD). Since our initial appointment by Aspire Defence in February 2005, we have completed 376 new assets and 167 refurbishments for the Army, covering a total floor area of around 170,000 sqm.

Graven Hill

Graven Hill is a unique 187 ha development located just to the south of Bicester, Oxfordshire, and will become the UK’s largest self-build housing scheme. Outline planning is in place for up to 1,900 new self-build homes, along with a new village centre with local amenities and employment space

MIRA Technology Park

This 87.5 hectare, 1.5 million sq ft development is a platform for the rapid delivery of bespoke R&D centres ranging from start-up facilities right up to major European R&D operations.
