Waterman enhances Nottingham presence with move to prime central location

Published 9th May 2023

Through our commitment to a ten-year lease on 3,813 sq ft of prime office space located on the fifth floor of central Nottingham’s Alan House, the move reflects sustained growth in our Midlands workstreams and will allow us to drive our collaborative multidisciplinary working approach.

Harnessing 100% cloud-based technology, the new space will focus on facilitating team collaboration amongst our environmental and engineering specialists who will utilise the UK’s leading desk booking system to maximise the flexibility and efficiency of the premises.

In addition to offering a wide variety of collaborative spaces, the move will also provide our team with an improved welfare offering and will boost their green and active travel options through the extensive local public transport network and onsite bike storage area, showers, changing and drying facilities.

Led by Jonathan Purcell, Ruth Jeffs and Dominic Hardy, the team is looking forward to welcoming existing and new clients to our new premises from 9th May, located at Alan House, Clumber Street, Nottingham NG1 3ED.

Commenting on the relocation, Waterman’s Managing Director for Building Services – North, Jonathan Purcell, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve secured our new Nottingham home at Alan House which will offer an inspiring workplace for our team and clients, helping drive our people-focussed, collaborative culture. This move reflects our continued growth in the Midlands, underlining our commitment to supporting the development of this thriving region’s built environment and infrastructure networks.”

Ruth Jeffs, Waterman’s Director for Infrastructure and Environment, celebrated the move, saying: “This relocation is a clear indication of our continued growth and commitment to strengthening our local presence, delivering our full range of engineering and environmental services from the centre of Nottingham. We’d be delighted to welcome clients and colleagues for a chat and coffee with our team!”

Waterman’s multidiscipline team in Nottingham is supporting a diverse range of schemes, including Nottingham Trent University’s innovative Clinical Skills Centre, Laing O’Rourke’s Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction, supporting Via East Midlands in delivering a range of council services, SeAH Wind’s Teesside offshore turbine base factory, and premium lifestyle brand Joules’ new HQ in Market Harborough. In addition, our specialists are playing a leading role in a wide range of public sector frameworks, strategic infrastructure projects including National Highways, HS2 and national rail stations, along with local residential, education and university schemes.
