Published 29th April 2024

The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) picked up two awards at the BCO Scottish Awards, with the carbon neutral development announced as the winner in the ‘Commercial Workplace of the Year’ and ‘ESG Award’ categories.

Designed by HLM Architects, NMIS aims to help manufacturing businesses throughout Scotland become world leaders in innovation. The 11,500 sqm development will act as a magnet for leading-edge manufacturing, engineering and tech businesses, offering a creative place where they can come together to share skills and develop new ideas. Following just over two years of construction, the University of Strathclyde recently took ownership of the completed facility at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland.

This incredible scheme has already picked up multiple industry awards, including ‘Offsite Project of the Year’ at the Building Awards and ‘Development of the Year (Public)’ at The Scottish Property Awards.
