Waterman secures reappointment for CIBSE Training & Development scheme

21 August 2024

Waterman has been formally reapproved as a Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Training & Development (T&D) scheme provider.

An in-company training scheme, T&D helps develop engineers’ skills and competence as they progress toward achieving Engineering Council registration and professional membership of CIBSE. Engineers registered on an approved T&D programme are paired with an experienced mentor, who provide guidance and act as a sounding board as they develop their competence for Engineering Council registration.

Approval to deliver the scheme is a reflection of an organisation’s commitment to fostering professional excellence and advancing the standards of training and development within the building services engineering sector.

Steven Halmshaw, Waterman’s Director for Building Services and lead representative for the scheme, commented: “We are delighted to have been reappointed for this important training programme with CIBSE for another three years. A structured support system is so important for those looking to take the next step on their career journey, and by offering our support and mentoring we hope to guide mentees through the process to achieve professional registration.”
