Waterman has bolstered our national Sustainability Services team with the addition of industry expert, Ruth Marsh, as Head of Sustainability – South to support the delivery and expansion of our UK-wide services.
Formerly Sustainability Director at Sheppard Robson, Ruth will play a leading role in the delivery of our sustainability output in London and across the southern region. She brings a wealth of knowledge in the design and delivery of low environmental impact buildings across a range of sectors, with particular emphasis on residential and commercial office schemes. Ruth’s impressive London portfolio includes Chrisp Street Market mixed-use regeneration masterplan, and advising architecture teams on proposals such as London Wall West and LSE’s 2,000-bed Bankside student living development. She was also on the winning team of the Arup North Façade of the Future competition with the concept design Metro:Morphosis, a research project which aimed to reposition office buildings into residential neighbourhoods whilst boosting climate resilience and biodiversity.
Ruth joins recent hire James Barker, Head of Sustainability – North, on our Sustainability Senior Management Group, along with Emily Wingrove (Head of Sustainability – Midlands), and Sophie Murray (Head of Sustainability for Defence and the South-West). Together, they will work with Dr. Ankit Singh to deliver expert sustainability support for projects across every UK region.
