We are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the upcoming Apprenticeship Guide Awards (Award Categories – Apprenticeship Awards), which celebrate those employers and training providers who enable Apprentices to succeed and thrive.

Our continued commitment to our hugely successful Apprenticeship Scheme has seen us shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Best Employer (Medium)’ category. This category recognises organisations with 251–1,000 employees that demonstrate a strong commitment to developing and supporting their workforce. Judges assess evidence of meaningful professional training and career progression, initiatives that enhance employee morale and support physical and mental wellbeing, and the creation of new jobs within the organisation’s jurisdiction. Consideration is also given to how businesses attract new talent through outreach and awareness‑raising activities, alongside any third‑party recognition received for excellence as an employer. Ultimately, the award celebrates employers that create an environment where apprentices are supported, valued, and able to thrive.

Now entering its third year, the Apprenticeship Guide Awards are one of the UK’s leading national apprenticeship awards, and this year’s ceremony will take place on 30 April 2026 in Leeds, where the winner of each category will be announced.

Commenting on the shortlisting, Waterman’s Learning and Development Director, Nick Harrison, said: “We are incredibly proud to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. It reflects the commitment of our teams across the business and, in particular, the enthusiasm, talent and dedication shown by our Apprentices. Investing in people and supporting their development is central to what we do at Waterman, and this recognition is a real testament to the positive culture we strive to create.”
