We have provided civil and structural engineering consultancy to British Airways for over 25 years. Our commissions encompass a wide range of projects and the services we have provided include feasibility reports, condition surveys, alterations and refurbishment and new build structures.
Apron repair works
Our team carried out surveys of damaged apron slabs and subsequently prepared schedules of work, specification and pre-construction information as well as reviewing the Construction Phase Plan. We then carried out post contract site inspections and prepared as-built drawings.
Fire main repair works
Following our surveys of hydrants, valves and air valves, we prepared drawings, specifications and design certificates for their replacement. We also carried out post contract site inspections and prepared as-built drawings.
Hanger roof refurbishment works
We undertook site assessment of several hanger roofs as part of a condition survey. This was developed into a feasibility report including appraisal, recommendations, budgetary costing and outline construction programme. We produced a pre-construction information pack for the Invitation to Tender for Principal Contractors. Post contract, we provided construction issue drawings, attended design team meetings, site visits and inspections and reviewed of PAM manuals.
Surface drainage works
Following a visual inspection of channel drains we prepared an assessment report, drawings and specification for the replacement/repairs. Post contract, we carried out site inspections and attended progress meetings. We also acted as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 Regulations for this work.
