The facility is adjacent to and integrates Elekta’s existing UK headquarters on the five-acre site, combining both its research and development team, and its global product support and administration functions into the new premises.

In addition to break-out and meeting areas as well as a cafeteria, the modern facilities will also allow Elekta to host local and international medical business events. Waterman’s Building Services team was appointed by developer Bridgecore to provide the Employers Requirements design and specification for the developments shell and core, category A and category B fit-out. In cognisance of this, the design of the scheme emphasises on sustainability, including the latest energy efficient air source heat pump technology, with the aim to achieve the internationally recognised BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.
