Flotation Energy Ltd appointed Stockton Drilling Ltd to undertake a constructability review for the formation of two export cable landfalls using trenchless installation methods. Stockton Drilling Ltd subsequently appointed our team to deliver a landfall feasibility study to support the project at pre planning stage.
The proposed landfall location is at Mains of Inverugie, to the north of Peterhead, within the Aberdeenshire Council planning authority area. The scheme comprises two 220 kV (up to 275 kV) export circuits serving the offshore windfarm.
We provided a comprehensive technical assessment of trenchless landfall options to improve technical and cost certainty for the project. Our services included site walkover surveys, geological assessment and ground modelling using desk study and historic ground investigation data, and 3D design of landfall profiles incorporating onshore topographic and offshore bathymetric datasets.
