Mars Stadium in Ballarat, formally known as Eureka Stadium, was redeveloped to become a regional Australian Football League (AFL) venue.
The first stage of the development delivers space for 11,000 spectators, with 5,000 seated. The project improved amenities on the western side of the field, adding a grandstand complete with roof, tiered seating and media boxes.
The scheme also added undercover podium seating in front of club building, AFL changeroom upgrades, a new video scoreboard, expansion of the coach’s box, upgrade and lighting of the existing ovals.
Waterman provided full design, documentation and construction phase services for the project, spanning mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic, and vertical transportation.
