The exceptional new National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) facility won the award for ‘Education Project of the Year’ at the Structural Timer Awards.

Designed by HLM Architects, NMIS aims to help manufacturing businesses throughout Scotland become world leaders in innovation. The 11,500 sqm operationally carbon neutral development will act as a magnet for leading-edge manufacturing, engineering and tech businesses, offering a creative place where they can come together to share skills and develop new ideas. Following just over two years of construction, the University of Strathclyde recently took ownership of the completed facility at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS).

Our team provided structural and civil engineering support for the scheme. To learn more about this flagship facility, click here.
