The annual awards, organised by Southwark Chamber of Commerce with the support of Southwark Council, celebrate the achievements of the borough’s vibrant business community.
Waterman believe in the importance of bringing new talent into the industry and are actively working alongside schools, colleges and universities across the UK to recruit the next generation of engineers. To future proof our scheme, we continuously explore ways to develop our apprenticeship offerings, and ensuring apprentices always work alongside highly experienced team members as they develop their skills, is a crucial part of this.
Group Learning & Development Manager, Nick Harrison is the driver behind Waterman’s success, he commented; “I am absolutely thrilled to win this award. We are delighted to be seen as the leading apprentice employer in Southwark and one that is passionate about contributing to the success of apprenticeships within the community. This is a fantastic reward for the hard work of our excellent apprentices, who will help shape Waterman over the coming years. It is also a testament to the strong, sustainable relationships we are developing with schools, colleges and universities. We will continue to work with our education partners to progress our successful apprenticeship scheme, helping to shape the careers of the next generation of engineers.”
