New roads lead to better solutions for the communities they serve. Here at Waterman, we help to realise these ambitions.

Our multi-talented team is conscious of striking the right balance between the community’s needs for a new road with their concern for the local environment. We have dedicated land engineering and infrastructure teams, who provide detailed designs aimed at covering all stages of the scheme, delivering it on time and on budget. Our expertise is in developing an integrated strategy that optimises the opportunity for all concerned, while minimising the impact, both during construction and into the future.

Our track record
Waterman has a proven track record in managing all types of road projects, from inception through to the final road markings being painted on the carriageway. Our focus throughout each and every scheme remains on helping to deliver the best designed roads, providing maximum value to the local communities. We have extensive experience of co-operating with local highway authorities throughout the UK, and have well established working partnerships with clients including West Midlands Highway Alliance, Midlands Highways Alliance, London Borough of Bexley, and Merseytravel.

Developing The Vision
Our multi-disciplined team have worked on the full range of road schemes, from small scale but important highway improvements to large urban and rural bypasses. Our workload also includes promoting development-led highway projects for the private sector. This can mean advising clients at the public enquiry stage, as well as progressing detailed designs of road layouts and systems for industrial, commercial, and residential developments. Thanks to our strong capability in environmental assessment, traffic engineering and transport planning, as well as our understanding of statutory requirements and local government procedures, we are well equipped to manage projects through the public consultation and enquiry process.

Working with stakeholders
Our team provides additional consultancy services in areas such as air quality, vibration and noise appraisals as part of an environmental impact statement that keeps all stakeholders informed of the key issues of any new road scheme.

In short, at Waterman, we do all we can to ensure the success of every road project we are tasked with managing.
