Arts and Leisure

Our experts support the development of state of the art, dynamic leisure and sporting facilities that deliver our client’s vision and provide exceptional user experiences.

We are proud to have played a key role in incorporating innovative, sustainable technology and design strategies as part of the continued advancement of the sports and leisure sector. We provide multidisciplinary engineering, technical and building services designs to help our clients realise their vision for leading edge leisure facilities and inspirational sports arenas. Our portfolio has been built up over 70 years and comprises some of the most iconic facilities across the UK, Ireland and Australia.

Successful modern sporting venues and leisure complexes connect with a wide audience and become significant community hubs. As well as being a local stimulus for jobs, transport and infrastructure, they must be designed with integrity for sustainable use and with the flexibility to meet changing future needs.

Our multidiscipline teams take a holistic approach to designing sustainable, low carbon solutions, considering the project’s whole-life carbon cycle, circular economy and operational carbon emissions.

Everyman Theatre
“At Everyman Theatre, the client wanted a very sustainable, low energy theatre, so natural ventilation was seen as the ideal choice. In response, we developed a bespoke ventilation solution for the windowless, artificial environment of the theatre’s auditorium which helped make this one of the most sustainable theatres in the UK.”
